Algae Peel
What is the treatment:
An algae peel involves the application of a peel containing extracts from various types of algae. Algae are rich in minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants, providing exfoliation and hydration to the skin. This treatment aims to revitalize and nourish the skin, leaving it with a refreshed, radiant
appearance and improved texture.
Which areas can be treated:
● Body
● Face
How long is the treatment:
45 to 60 minutes.
Pre-care Instructions:
7 to 10 days before - Avoid Retinols, AHA, BHA and excessive sun exposure.
2 weeks before - Avoid waxing
Inform your therapist about any skin sensitivities. The skin may need to be prepped for at least 2 weeks prior if the skin is very dry.
How will the procedure be performed:
Algae peel treatments involve the following steps:
Cleansing: The skin is cleansed to remove impurities.
Application of Algae Peel: The algae peel mixture is applied to the skin.
Massage: For light peeling & sensitive skin, rub in for 1 to 2 minutes. For medium peeling & sensitive skin, rub for 5 minutes. For deep peeling, rub in with massage movements for 10 to 15 minutes.
Duration: The peel is left on as a face mask for 5 to 10 minutes.
Removal: The peel is gently removed with warm water and the skin is cleansed well.
Post-Treatment Care: The Post Treatment gel is applied and spread evenly over the skin.
Sun Protection: The skin needs extra protection after a skin treatment. We always end the procedure off with applying a broad-spectrum high SPF 50 sunscreen.
Post-care Instructions:
For 2 days - Avoid touching the treated area. Avoid excessive sun exposure. Avoid using a cleanser, just rinse the area with water and apply post treatment gel followed by a broad-spectrum high SPF 50 sunscreen.
Avoid exercise, sauna, steam room, swimming and hot showers.
From day 3 to 7 - Use a gentle non-acidic, non-exfoliating cleanser, apply the post treatment gel followed by a broad-spectrum high SPF 50 sunscreen. Do not pick or pull the peeling skin, this can cause scarring and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
From day 7 - Stop using the post treatment gel. Toner, serums and moisturizers are introduced back slowly into the daily skin routine.
Onset of the Effect:
Peeling may occur on day 2 or 3 after the peel and can last for up to 7 days. Immediate glow and improved skin texture is noted as the new skin is
revealed.
Duration of the Results:
Several weeks, may require regular sessions.
How often should you do the treatment:
Every 4 to 6 weeks. 2 to 6 sessions may be required to achieve desired effects.
Level of discomfort:
Moderate, it is a physical exfoliant therefore redness, swelling and burning will be experienced initially.

Botulinum Toxin
What is the treatment
Botulinum toxin, or ‘Botox’, is a neurotoxin that temporarily relaxes muscles when injected. In aesthetic treatments, ‘Botox’ is used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by inhibiting muscle contractions, providing a non-surgical solution for achieving a smoother and more youthful appearance. Botox is a key treatment for reducing the appearance of dynamic wrinkles caused by muscle contractions.
Which areas can be treated
● Brow lift
● Bunny lines (lines around the nose)
● Crow’s feet (lines around the eyes)
● Dimpled chin
● Downward facing mouth corners (upside down smile)
● Forehead lines
● Frown lines
● Gummy smile
● Lip flip
● Masseter hypertrophy (buff jaw)
● Nasal tip lift
● Nefertiti (Trapezius muscle tension)
● Platysma bands (neck bands)
● Smile/Smokers lines
Medical uses of Botulinum Toxin
● Bruxism (Teeth grinding & clenching)
● Contractures in Cerebral Palsy
● Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating armpits, forehead or hands)
● Migraines
● Overactive Bladder
● Strabismus
How long is the treatment
15 to 30 minutes.
Pre-care Instructions
3 to 7 days before - Avoid general blood thinners e.g. Aspirin, Voltaren, Ibuprofen, Omega supplements
2 to 3 days before - Avoid alcohol
24 hours before - Avoid exercise and coffee/caffeine
Botulinum Toxin is contraindicated in pregnancy, breastfeeding and
neurological conditions.
Injected by
Dr Khanyi and Dr Ziyanda
How will the procedure be performed
Botox injections involve the following steps:
Consultation: The practitioner discusses the patient's goals and determines
the areas for treatment.
Cleansing: The treatment area is cleansed to reduce the risk of infection.
Ice or Numbing Cream (Optional): Ice or numbing cream may be applied to
minimize discomfort.
Injection: Small units of neurotoxin are injected into the muscles being
treated. Small, painless, raised bumps may be visible afterwards and
usually disappear within 15-30 minutes. THIS IS NOT AN ADVERSE
REACTION.
Post-Treatment Care: Apply an antibiotic ointment over treated areas to
prevent infection through the inoculation sites.
Post-care Instructions
For 4 hours after - You may experience a mild headache. Avoid lying down or bending. Avoid touching the treated areas. Avoid makeup (If you need to apply make-up within 4 hours after your treatment, only use a GENTLE touch to avoid rubbing the treated area).
For 24 hours after - Avoid alcohol and other blood thinners. Avoid facials, rubbing or massaging your face. Avoid exercise, saunas and steam rooms. Exercising can result in the Botulinum toxin migrating into unwanted
muscles. Gentle pressure during your skincare routine.
Onset of the Effect
3 to 7 days, full effect is seen in 2 weeks.
Duration of the Results
3 to 6 months (may last longer in the treatment of medical conditions). The duration of effect is dependent on the dose & product used, and is influenced by metabolism, excessive exercise, certain medications, sun exposure, smoking, and genetics. The effects of neurotoxin last longer when treatments are done regularly i.e., just as the muscle action starts to return. This is because the treated muscles get weaker and weaker over time due to the reduced muscle action.
How often should you do the treatment
We recommend it every 4 to 5 months.
Level of discomfort
Minimal, most people tolerate the procedure easily without any type of numbing.

Chemical Peels
What is the treatment
Chemical peels use a chemical solution, typically containing acids, to remove the top layers of the skin. The peeling depth can be superficial, medium or deep. Chemical peels are crucial for exfoliating the skin, reducing signs of aging and addressing pigmentation issues. This controlled exfoliation prompts the regeneration of new skin cells by enhancing cell turnover, revealing smoother, more even-toned skin. Chemical peels are effective for treating fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, acne scars, rough skin texture and uneven pigmentation.
Which areas can be treated
● Face
● Feet
● Hands
● Intimate areas
● Neck
How long is the treatment
15 to 30 minutes
Pre-care Instructions
Avoid sun exposure and skincare products containing active ingredients such as retinol and vitamin C at least 3 days before the treatment. The skin may need to be prepped for at least 2 weeks prior if the skin is sensitive or ‘naïve’ to active skin ingredients.
How will the procedure be performed
The chemical peel procedure typically involves the following steps:
Cleansing: The skin is cleansed to remove any surface oils and impurities.
Pre-peel solution or degreaser: A pre-peeling solution is applied over the skin to ensure even penetration of the peel once it is applied.
Application of Chemical Solution: The chemical peel solution is applied to the skin, and the type and strength of the solution varies based on the desired outcome.
Peeling Process: Time-dependent peels must be kept on the skin for the recommended duration. Layer-dependent peels must be kept on the skin until frosting is noted.
Neutralization: The peel is neutralized, stopping the chemical reaction.
Post-Peel Care: Post-peel skin care such as masks and moisturizers are applied to calm and soothe the skin, and assist with skin healing.
Sun Protection: The skin needs extra protection after a skin treatment. We always end the procedure off with applying a broad-spectrum high SPF 50 sunscreen.
Post-care Instructions
Apply the recommended post-peel skin care and protect your skin from the sun. Avoid touching the face excessively. Follow a gentle skincare routine and avoid any active skin ingredients for 5 to 7 days after the peel. You can apply makeup the next day.
Onset of the Effect
Peeling may occur, depending on the depth of exfoliation and chemicals used, on day 2 or 3 after the peel and can last for up to 7 days. Improvements in the skin texture and radiance are visible after a week.
Duration of the Results
Several months to a year, depending on the peel's depth and the frequency of the chemical peels.
How often should you do the treatment
Every 4 to 6 weeks. 6 sessions are recommended. Great combination treatment with microneedling.
Level of discomfort
Mild to moderate, depending on the peel depth.

Skin Tags / Moles / Syringoma Removals
What is the treatment
Skin tag, mole and syringoma removal is a minor medical–aesthetic procedure used to safely eliminate benign skin growths. Depending on the lesion type, size and location, removal is performed using the medical-grade cautery (electrocoagulation) technique. The treatment targets the lesion precisely while minimizing damage to the surrounding skin, allowing for effective removal and optimal healing.
Which areas can be treated
● Face
● Eyelids
● Neck
● Underarms
● Chest
● Back
● Groin
● Body folds
How long is the treatment
15 to 45 minutes, depending on the number, size and location of the lesions.

- Bleeding disorders
- Use of blood thinners or anticoagulants
- History of keloid or poor scarring
- Any skin sensitivities or infections in the treatment area

How will the procedure be performed
Skin tag, mole or syringoma removal involves the following steps:
Cleansing:
The treatment area is thoroughly cleansed and disinfected.
Assessment:
Each lesion is assessed to confirm suitability for removal. Suspicious or atypical moles may be referred for further medical evaluation.
Local Anesthetic:
A topical or injectable anesthetic will be used to ensure comfort.
Removal:
The lesion is carefully removed using medical cautery, sealing blood vessels to minimize bleeding and reduce infection risk.
Post-Treatment Care:
A soothing and antibacterial product is applied to support healing and protect the skin.
Sun Protection:
If the area is exposed, a broad-spectrum SPF 50 sunscreen is applied to prevent pigmentation during healing.
